For Professionals
In order to effectively support our students struggling with eating disorders and/or body image disturbances, we need to be aware of the full range of resources that are available in our local communities, and beyond. It is for this reason, that Hynes Recovery Services has assembled a list of programs and services within the Northeast (and across the country) that can offer an array of treatment options. Click here to be linked to our National Treatment Directory. (Please check back often, as resources will be added to this directory on a regular basis). In addition, HRS has also created the following resources geared specifically for the university community: awareness materials, guidelines for administrators in the process of creating campus-based eating disorder support services, a clinical training manual (along with support group curriculum), as well as a resource guide for student-athletes.
Also, there may be times when it might be helpful to have a seasoned clinician consult with you regarding a difficult and challenging eating disorder case. In these situations, please contact us so that we may help guide you in the treatment of your student. In addition, we have an event calendar that lists local and national conferences, training opportunities, awareness walks, legislative activities and other events that might be of interest to you as a provider working in this field.
