Services for Students and Families
Hynes Recovery Services offers students the opportunity to be fully supported in their recovery from an eating disorder. We are equipped to handle students in both the early stages of an eating disorder, as well as those that may have been living with the devastating effects of this illness for some time. Students and their families will receive not only information and education regarding all aspects of a loved one's eating disorder, they will also have the opportunity to be connected to the top eating disorder experts in their geographical area. And for those students who are also collegiate athletes, HRS has created a resource directory that offers treatment options geared for this unique clinical population. Oftentimes, students may be seeing treatment providers on a regular basis, but still need additional support. We offer these additional supports crucial to one's continued recovery, such as care coordination, transitional support following a discharge from inpatient or residential facilities, as well as support for students during the transitional period from high school to college.
Finding effective treatment can be quite difficult and at times feel overwhelming. For the past 10 years, Dawn Hynes has guided families in this challenging process—sometimes the involvement is short-term, while other cases may require more intense support. It is imperative that families find the best treatment option quickly, as research clearly indicates that early and aggressive treatment results in improved outcomes for those struggling with an eating disorder. If you feel that either you or a loved one can benefit from this type of support, please contact me directly so that we may set up a free consultation to explore options for treatment.
